Dustan Heistand
Dustan Heistand is serving as a Washington D.C. Correspondent for Gaylord News during the summer of 2022. Dustan is from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and is a print reporter majoring in print journalism with a minor in English and is expected to graduate in December 2022. Before journalism, Dustan developed his communication and observation skills serving drinks in one of Oklahoma’s upscale cocktail bars. Volunteering and interactions within various communities developed a desire to provide an outlet for underrepresented voices. Dustan aspires to educate and inform practicing honest and equitable journalism.
