$50 millions funds Red River project on I-35
As the Red River bridge nears its 60th birthday, the outdated design is struggling to support current traffic volumes on I-35, the main connection between Texas and Oklahoma.
Traffic in this one passageway has crash rates higher than both state’s averages, which has made this project a priority.
The $50 million would go towards widening the interstate, flattening curves and constructing wider and higher bridges across the river.
