WASHINGTON – The U.S is no stranger to election drama…and this time around will be no different.
With tensions high, it makes you wonder what will happen after election day and if candidates ready to gear up for legal challenges of the results.
“Absolutely… it’s happening no matter what… both sides AND organizations on both sides are already reserving money specifically making sure there are some resources for legal challenges,” said Matthew Foster, a public affairs professor at American University.
Election fraud and election stealing are terms in everyone’s vocabulary especially by the end of this presidential contest. But when does one call fraud in an election.
Cleta Mitchell, founder of the Election Integrity Network, said, “Just depends on the margin. There is a point at which you know you just aren’t going to make that up.
“We are in a bit of a democratic constitutional crisis in that most Americans do not trust the system and a lot of Americans will not be willing to accept the results which is foundational to a thriving democracy.”
“Both parties and both sides of this have created an environment where this potential belief that these elections are… if not stolen…at least not fair,” she said.
