The Native American Fight Against COVID

The impact of COVID on OU and the state of Oklahoma has been severe. Oklahoma consistently has been near the top of the list nationally when it comes to overall COVID cases and deaths. While every race and economic group has been impacted, blacks are dying at a rate 2.4 times higher than whites. Latinos and Native Americans are dying about 1.5 times higher than whites and Asian Americans in Oklahoma. Natives are only second to whites in total cases, at 10%. Logan Dunn visited one town that has a high number of Native Americans to see how they’ve been impacted, healthwise and in their pocketbook.
