Memorial on display in National Mall honors gun violence victims

WASHINGTON — 40,000 white roses were on display Thursday in the National Mall in D.C. to represent the number of Americans who have lost their lives to gun violence. This display was meant to send a message to the U.S. Senate as mass shootings continue to rise throughout the country.
