Captain James MacGregor speaks about his experience with the Yeomen of the Guard, a royal bodyguard reenactment group that visited the Norman Medieval Fair last weekend. Young children and adults alike lined up to, as the group’s sign read, “Fight a Knight.” Participants walked onto the historical encampment, dressed in cloth armor, and learned how to fight like medieval guards. To MacGregor, the group is able to “give people a taste of something that no longer exists.”
